VON resistors are made with the highest quality Laser cut metal oxide resistors. They are rated 80 watts continuous 100 watt intermittent duty. They are epoxy impregnated in a two inch fiberglass tube. Aluminum corona suppression end caps with 1/2-20 N.F. female thread are cemented to both ends of the porcelain element.

Practically any value, type and tolerance may be obtained on special order. The following values are carried in regular stock:

100,000 OHM type DZZ spiral element - The 100,000 ohm resistors are used as current limiting resistors for impulse fault finding up to 30kv and for series flashover protection when testing cables with all modular Model E test sets.

1 MEGOHM type DZZ spiral element - The 1 megohm resistors are used as current limiting resistors for impulse fault finding up to 30kv and series flashover protection when testing cables with all modular Model C test sets.

1 MEGOHM type GZZ non-inductive element - These resistors are furnished with sphere gap voltmeters to make them accurate for use on A.C. as well as D.C.

5 MEGOHM type DZZ spiral element - The 5 megohm resistor is used as current limiting resistor for impulse fault finding with two capacitors in series up to 60kv.

40 MEGOHM type DZZ spiral element - The 40 megohm resistor is used to limit the current in an arc. This is desirable for performing tracking resistance tests.
